Togiak River Fishing For Chinook On Two Handed Rods

For those seeking a remote fishing adventure with the comforts of a lodge, weโ€™re excited to announce our partnership with Togiak River Lodge. Here, dime-bright King salmonโ€”fresh from the saltโ€”offer Spey anglers thrilling tight-line grabs in an untouched Alaskan wilderness.

Catch and Release Kings on Spey Rods in Alaska

Renowned for both the size and numbers of its Chinook salmon, the Togiak offers peak fishing in June and July. Thereโ€™s no better way to spend a week than chasing these powerful fish on a Spey rod. With prime swing water, aggressive fish, and top-tier remote hospitality, this is a destination fly fishing experience unlike any other.

We Stay at a Full Service Fishing Lodge

This is not a tent camp experience. You’ll stay in heated cabins that provide lodge-style accommodations with modern amenities. As the only lodge on the river, youโ€™ll enjoy exclusive access to some of Alaskaโ€™s most sought-after salmon on a two-hander. With a maximum of just 12 anglers per week, each guest essentially has 1.5 miles of river to themselves. The Togiakโ€™s deep runs and long gravel bars create the perfect setting for Spey casting.

Travel Details

Alaska Central Express (ACE) will transport fishing guests aboard a private charter from Anchorage International Airport to the village of Togiak. The village of Togiak does not have commercial flights coming from Anchorage. The private charter allows guests to arrive early enough in the day to fish when they arrive. The ACE charter departs from the North Terminal in the Anchorage International Airport. There is no boarding pass or security screening for these flights. All guests report to the North terminal at 5:30 am or the 7 am flight to Togiak. ACE will have a passenger list with your name. Please limit your bag to 50 lbs or less.

Arrival in Togiak is around 8:30 am. Lodge staff will load guests and luggage into a 15 passenger van for a short 5 minute drive through the village before loading up onto lodge boats for a 15 minute boat ride upriver to the lodge. Luggage will be delivered to your cabins. You will be sent with food on the water so you can get right to your first full day of fishing

On departure day, youโ€™ll arrive in Anchorage around noon (weather permitting) with ACE. It is not recommended to book outbound flights from Anchorage earlier than 4 pm in the event you experience any weather delays.

Togiak
This Trip is for Adventurers!

Start each morning with breakfast and coffee on the river before gearing up and stepping aboard top-of-the-line jet boatsโ€”far superior to the standard Jon boats found at most lodges. With minimal angling pressure, youโ€™ll have no trouble finding an untouched swing run, ready to hook into a mighty king. Evenings are for sharing fishing tales over gourmet meals, and refueling for another full day of casting to these brutes.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Togiak River next summer for an unforgettable fishing adventure!
