Born and raised in Alaska, Sean spent his childhood on the Kenai Peninsula fishing the Kenai River and surrounding lakes. And that means heโs had decades of hands on experience locating the fish, being up-to-date on current river conditions and fish behavior. Along the way Sean has learned tips and tricks to become the best Kenai River fishing guide he can be all to lead you to that trophy fish.
Sean served in the US Army for six years while he traveled the world Alaska always called to him. Missing his home state, he moved back to Soldotna and started his guide serviceโKenai River Recon LLC.
Sean loves Alaska, all kinds of fishing in Alaska, but he especially loves fly fishing! Considerate and attentive, Sean takes your daily goals in mind and makes the effort to make your dreams come true. Sean is a conscientious steward of the Kenai River. He makes every effort to aid in fish preservation, employs careful catch and release tactics on any fish unretained, and promotes practice to protect fish, such as Kenai kings, that are currently in decline. Sean is a member of the Kenai River Sportfishing Association, Kenai River Professional Guides Association and is a USCG licensed merchant mariner.

MEET YOUR KENAI RIVER GUIDE: DAVID DANCE
David brings 12 years of guided fishing experience to the Kenai River Recon team. He has guided anglers across remote parts of Alaska, from Bristol Bay to the Aleutian Islands.
Originally from Wyoming, Davidโs passion for fishing started early and eventually led him north to Alaska, where he fully immersed himself in the guide lifestyle. His experience is broad, shaped by years spent fishing and guiding in some of Alaskaโs wildest places.
Patient, knowledgeable, and fun to fish with, David is the kind of guide who makes every day on the water better. He now calls the Kenai Peninsula home, recently planting roots just outside Soldotna.
You wonโt find a more dedicated or hardworking guide. David goes the extra mile to make sure anglers have a successful, memorable, and fun-filled fishing trip.
